Cellucor’s C4 Smart Energy: Black Cherry

The Black Cherry Smart Energy sounds like a gamble! Sometimes cherries taste too bitter, but I'm hoping the natural flavors make it pleasant. I get a mild kick of that sweet black cherry juice upfront followed by a punch of cherry. It definitely tastes like the pure black cherry juice you can buy at the grocery store but carbonated. It's tasty with nothing off about the flavor or aftertaste. The lower carbonation on this really helps the black cherry aftertaste come through. The carbonation is medium, the sweetness is medium/high, and the flavor strength is high. This Smart Energy is a straightforward and delicious cherry. It's fairly one-note, but it doesn't advertise otherwise. It's going somewhere above the Popsicle and Starburst Cherry on my list. The Black Cherry is actually refreshing without being cloying - my main issue with the collabs - even if they're also executed excellently.
