Energy Drink Ratings data connector

A free, read-only connector that lets AI assistants answer questions about energy drinks from our catalog instead of guessing.

Energy Drink Ratings is an independent catalog of 1,000+ energy drinks with label facts (caffeine, sugar, calories, ingredients) and ratings from our community of drinkers. The connector uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) so an AI assistant can look those facts up directly, with a link back to the drink page.

  • Authentication: none. No account, sign-in or API key.
  • Access: read-only. Every tool is marked read-only and nothing is written, bought or booked.
  • Limit: 60 requests per minute per IP address.
  • Cost: free.

Tools

search_drinks

Checks whether we have an entry for a specific drink or brand by name. Accent-insensitive.

Up to 10 matches with caffeine, sugar and a link to each drink page.

get_drink

Full label facts for one drink: caffeine, sugar, calories, serving size, sweeteners, flavor, availability.

The community rating with its count, a one-line summary of what raters say (when there are enough written reviews), and links to the drink page, to rate it and to log it in the caffeine tracker.

compare_drinks

Puts several drinks side by side on the same label facts and ratings.

A row per drink, plus a list of any names we could not find.

find_drinks

Filters the catalog by caffeine band, sugar, sweetener type, flavor family, carbonation and ingredient extras, the same filters as our Find page.

Up to 10 available drinks ranked by community rating where rated, and the total number of matches.

What it does not do

  • It does not sell anything, take payments or place orders, and it returns no affiliate links.
  • It does not create accounts, post ratings or change anything on the site. Rating a drink and logging it in the caffeine tracker happen on energydrinkratings.com.
  • It does not give medical advice. Caffeine figures are what the label says, not a safe amount for any particular person.
  • If we do not have a drink, it says so rather than inventing one.

Data and privacy

Each call is counted by tool name and the name of the assistant app. We hold the caller’s IP address in a short-lived counter to limit request rates. We do not see your conversation and we collect no accounts, names or email addresses through the connector. Details are in our privacy policy; use of the data is covered by our terms.
